Most Consistent Go Player

In the professional go scenes, players rise and fall, but there are some, who are consistent throughout their career. They may show sigs of ageing, and significant deprovement, but are still active, and win games. In other words, they are consistent.

So, who, in your opinion, is the most consistent player as of now (still active)?

For me, I've seen lots of old pros, but the final is a tie, between Cho Hunhyun, the former Korean best player and world number one, and Rin Kaiho, who was very succesful in the late 1960s and early 1970s in Japan, winning title ater title, until finally losing most of them to Ishida Yoshio.

Both of them are still active, though find Rin Kaiho remarkable, since he still managed to win international tournaments in the late 80s, and in the early 90s, when he attained honorary Tengen. Even at that time, he was already in hsi 50s. Now, he's in his 60s, and still active. His most notable recent victory was over Kong Jie, Chinese no. 3 (2?) in the Asia Cup.

CHo Hunhyun won an incredible number of titles in Korea in his prime, and the...ahh...legendary victory over Nie Weiping in the first ING Cup, in the late 1980s, before finally being swept away by his creation, Lee Changho. Nonetheless, he is still active till now, and still a top player in Korea. RIn Kaiho s no longer a top player, but Rins's older :)

Well, enough blabbering from me...then, who's the most consistent player?

i prefer compare Cho HunHyun

i prefer compare Cho HunHyun and Cho Chikun (Cho Chikun win this year a Judan title so he's in the top and in young age he was no. 1 enemy for Cho HunHyun)Well, Even if Rin Kaiho is older than Cho Chikun, I would still say Cho Chikun is a more consistent player as he has proven to be more successful through his years than Rin's. If you don't like Cho Chikun or his style, though, another contender from the Japanese side would be Kobayashi Koichi, who still plays a strong game and is not that much younger than Rin.
